Introduction
JP Corry’s high performance fire rated door range proved an effective solution for the new Radiotherapy Unit on a brownfield site within the live Altnagelvin Hospital campus.
Working alongside Main Contractor McLaughlin & Harvey and O’Connell Mahon Architects, JP Corry supplied over 800 doors and screens to the high profile public sector project. A range of resilient fire rated doors were selected from CW Fields, to meet the demanding spec requirements including FD36, FD60 and FD120 fire rated doors as well as acoustic and non-fire rated doors.
Prior knowledge and experience in the health industry enabled JP Corry to effectively provide a long term, resistant solution whilst understanding the difficulties of such a project.
The new Radiotherapy Unit has been operational since autumn 2016.
