CityPlay: Design Competition for Early Career Architects 2019

25 September 2019

In partnership with Royal Society of Ulster Architects (RSUA) and Titanic Foundation, JP Corry are delighted to launch the RSUA/JP Corry CityPlay: Design Competition for Early Career Architects 2019.

This competition challenges Early Career Architects to generate ideas for the integration of play into the landscape of Belfast City Centre, specifically along the Maritime Mile.

The CityPlay Design Competition is open to any architect either living or born on the island of Ireland who has been actively in work as an architect for less than 15 years, consecutively or otherwise. The prize will be to develop your concept with the client, Titanic Foundation, and to deliver the project. For the purposes of the competition the budget for the project is £100K.

For more information on the competition’s purpose, eligibility, brief and submission requirements please click here.

Wider engagement

In parallel with the competition, RSUA will seek the public’s views on what play provision they want across the whole city centre using #CityPlay. This is open to anyone and we encourage all architects to throw in their ideas. We also are looking at an incentive for architecture students to get involved.

Registration is open now and submissions must be received by 13th October 2019. To register, please email Jude Faloon on Jude@rsua.org.uk. You will be issued with a unique registration number.
