WHAT IS THE ROLE:
At the forefront of our organisation, the role of a Business Development Executive will be to proactively expand business through building relationships with new and existing customers. The post holder will be commercially aware maximizing sales and margin to meet agreed goals and targets, whilst staying abreast of market demands and trends.
 Branch opening hours are Mon - Thurs 07.30 - 17.00 Fri 07.30 - 16.00 Sat 08.00 - 12.00 and we are flexible to consider a variety of working hours/patterns to suit your needs!
 
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
  • To identify and generate selling opportunities for the full range of company products
  • Provide realistic quotations to satisfy customer needs
  • To negotiate best possible deals which satisfy both customer and company requirements
  • To maintain up to date customers records and use them as an effective selling tool
  • Exchange information to maximise selling opportunities, solve problems and make decisions
  • To ensure customers credit worthiness is established and properly controlled in line with agreed terms
  • Any other reasonable duties deemed necessary and reasonable for the success of the business
WHAT DO WE NEED FORM YOU?
  • Recent proven experience in an external face to face sales based role
  • Strong current knowledge of building materials and of the current construction market.
  • Willing and able to work both in a field and office based sales capacity
  • Full and clean driving license
  • Current knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • A passion for delivering customer service excellence
  • Competent in the use of IT (CRM, Excel, outlook etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; written, phone and face to face.
