ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The Proactive Sales Executive role is integral to the smooth running of sales and operations within the branch. The role reports to the Branch Director, and is key to driving proactive sales from the branch. The position will assist and liaise with the trade counter, yard operations, the sales representative and the driver for the branch.
 
Branch opening hours are Mon - Thurs 07.30 - 17.00 Fri 07.30 - 16.00 Sat 08.00 - 12.00 and we are flexible to consider a variety of working hours/patterns to suit your needs!
 
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
  • Solicit proactive sales from new and existing customers
  • Support the external sales team with customer requests e.g. technical information, updated quotes or required product certification.
  • Place direct sales orders, organise delivery times, and notify customers.
  • Follow up on general phone enquiries, supporting the branch in all aspects of customer service.
  • Provide excellent customer service by processing and authorising a variety of customer transactions, face to face, on the telephone and online.
  • Identify and generate sales opportunities for the full range of JP Corry products.
  • Ensure minimum stock shrinkage and accurate daily stock counts.
  • Complete transport audits and dispatch documentation as necessary, passing to the Branch Manager for regular sign off.
  • Any other duties deemed reasonable
 
SUITABLE APPLICANTS WILL IDEALLY BE/HAVE:
  • A proven track record of sales / business development with a good understanding of product knowledge and the routes to market.
  • Strong I.T. skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Natural passion for delivering an outstanding experience for the customer Confident working under pressure
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own diary and workload
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet ever changing requests and demands
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Prior experience of using a CRM system
