ABOUT THIS ROLE:
As Ranging Manager you will work closely with the Commercial team to translate the JP Corry ranging strategy and land them effectively into operations. This role will ensure that JP Corry delivers against its customer first values, whether that be through credible, extended or specialist ranging, both in branch and online.
This role is based in Belfast at our head office location on the Springfield Road and includes regular travel to our branches throughout the network. Hybrid working options available.
 
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
  • Create and implement a customer driven strategic vision for all ranges in line with the categories strategy agreed with the senior stakeholders with clearly defined and measurable initiatives
  • Ensure on-time range launches through delivery of key milestones within the critical path, ensuring any issues relating to the delivery of the review are resolved through liaising with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Project manage range implementation, working collaboratively with all related functions to deliver a great experience to our branch colleagues and their customers
  • Provide regular ranging updates to the JP Corry Commercial Director
  • Participate in the regular Group Commercial meeting, ensuring all ranging milestones are measured and reporting is standardised to ensure consistency
  • Control the planning of options into branches to deliver customer choice and maximise sales and profit
  • Manage and drive customer credibility improvement in all branches
  • Liaise with supply chain teams ensuring the replenishment and allocation of stock maintenance in branch stock levels to optimise availability, sales and minimise markdown
  • Manage any product and range supersedes
  • Challenge, negotiate and collaborate with suppliers to amend supply parameters (MOV/MOQ, pack size) thereby optimising sales opportunities, product service availability and JP Corry working capital
  • Manage planning & prioritisation of stock flow into the business throughout the product life cycle, using all available merchandising and logistics tools to meet availability requirements and targets.
  • Develop the JP Corry online offer is in line with the branch ranges, delivering maximum opportunity for additional customer purchases online
  • Provide an operational feedback mechanic to allow branches to share best practice and space/product limitations.  Capture and monitor these exceptions and create visibility for the business

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous priorities at any one time
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with ability to assimilate information and make recommendations
  • Demonstrable delivery of commercial successes and good business acumen          
  • Able to support the need for and lead change within area of responsibility
