ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The Yard Customer Service Assistant is a vital role of our branch as it ensures yard operations are carried out efficiently, effectively and above all else, safely, whilst encompassing our customer first culture. In addition, this position will focus on the efficient and safe loading of goods onto our fleet ready for delivery.

Branch opening hours are Mon - Thurs 07.30 - 17.00 Fri 07.30 - 16.00 Sat 08.00 - 12.00 and we are flexible to consider a variety of working hours/patterns to suit your needs!

DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift truck
  • Serving customers face to face and providing the highest possible service
  • Preparing orders for collection & delivery and ensuring sales documentation is completed
  • To make sure all good inwards are checked and put away in the correct location
  • Maintaining stock levels
  • To be responsible for personal and workplace health and safety and observe regulations in relation to the Health and Safety at work act.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary to ensure business objectives are met
SUITABLE APPLICANTS WILL IDEALLY:
  • Extensive experience of utilising a Forklift truck
  • Proven experience working in a similar role and environment
  • Customer service knowledge
  • Understanding of timber and general building products
  • Methodical, with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Good communication skills
